AGENDA FOR THE GREENFIELD POLICE & FIRE COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING TO BE HELD AT THE LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER, Court Room – 5300 West Layton Avenue, Greenfield, on TUESDAY,  December 6th, 2010 AT 6:00 P.M.

3. Approval of Police and Fire Commission Minutes for the meeting of October 20^th, 2011

6. Discussion /decision regarding the promotion of Captain Paul Schlecht to the position of Assistant Chief of Police, with advantage, contingent on the Common Council approval to fill the position. (Chief Wentlandt)

7. Discussion/Decision regarding the promotion of Lieutenant Jay Johnson, Sergeant David Patrick and Sergeant Michael Brunner to the position of Captain of Police, with advantage, contingent on Common Council approval to fill the positions.  (Chief Wentlandt)

8. Discussion/Decision regarding the promotion of Officer Scott Zienkiewicz to the position of Patrol Sergeant, with advantage, contingent on the Common Council approval to fill the position. (Chief Wentlandt)

9. Discussion Decision regarding the promotion of Officer Gregory Hoppe, Officer Scott Simons and Officer Dane Berghammer to the position of Detective, with advantage, contingent on Common Council approval to fill the positions.  (Chief Wentlandt)

10.  Discussion/Decision regarding the retirements of Inspector Mark Wildish and Detectives James Bruno, David Leon and Francis Rewolinski. (Chief Wentlandt)

11.  Discussion/decision to approve the hiring of an entry level police officer from the current eligibility list contingent on successful completion of a medical examination and psychological examination. (Chief Wentlandt).

12.  Discussion/decision regarding direction for the creation of a Firefighter eligibility list (Chief Cohn)

13.  Commission to go into closed session pursuant to Statute 19.85 (1) (c) (f) of the Wisconsin State Statutes. Specifically: (c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, and (f) Considering financial, medical, social or personal histories or disciplinary data of specific persons, preliminary consideration of specific personnel problems or the investigation of charges against specific persons except where par. (b) Applies which, if discussed in public, would be likely to have a substantial adverse effect upon the reputation of any person referred to in such histories or data, or involved in such problems or investigations. The purpose of this closed session is to discuss/decide upon candidates being considered to fill the vacant, or near future vacant positions of Entry Level Firefighter as well as discussion/decision related to the appraisal of a probationary Firefighter.
