Extravaganza! Open Swimming, Bounce Houses and Fire Trucks at Family Event Saturday
The Greenfield Education Foundation is holding its second annual 'Family Fun Extravaganza' from 9-11:30 a.m. at the high school.
Open Swimming. Bounce Houses. Fire Trucks. Police Cars. Arts and Crafts. What more could you a parent with elementary school-aged children ask for?Â
The Greenfield Education Foundation is taking over Saturday with its "Family Fun Extravaganza" and creating a play land for children and their families.Â
"This is a community service," said Stuart Wilke, community relations manager for The School District of Greenfield. "It's an opportunity for Greenfield residents, and people with elementary-aged children from all over, to come have a good time at a reasonable cost."Â

Admission to this year's Extravaganza is $5 per student. Parents and children under 3 get in free. All proceeds benefit the Greenfield Education Foundation, which supports several programs and scholarships for Greenfield students.Â
Last year's Family Fun event drew about 250 people, Wilke said. Organizers are hoping for even more this year.Â
