Fifth Greenfield Nun Dies From Coronavirus At Local Convent
The convent's first coronavirus-related loss came on April 6 when Sister Mary Regine Collins, 95, passed away.
GREENFIELD, WI – Our Lady of the Angels convent in Greenfield has suffered another tragic loss after 88-year-old Sister Bernadette Kelter died after she tested positive for COVID-19. Authorities said she was tested after she died on April 26, and was found to be positive.
It's the latest tragedy for the convent. Last week, 102-year-old Sister Annelda Holtkamp died from COVID-19, officials said. Sister Marie June Skender, 83, died on April 7 and tested positive for COVID-19 in a post-mortum test. Sister Mary Francele Sherburne, 99, died April 9 from a COVID-19-related infection.
