Gas Station Clerk Wrestled Cigarettes From Thieves: Cops
Greenfield police said two women tried stealing cigarettes from the local Clark gas station, only to have the cartons wrestled from them.

GREENFIELD, WI β A gas station owner and clerk wrestled cartons of cigarettes from two women who tried stealing them Sunday morning in Greenfield.
According to Greenfield police call logs, officers were sent to the Clark gas station at 4621 W. Forest Home Ave. just before 8 a.m. on Sunday after an attempted retail theft case.
Police call logs stated they received a 911 call from the gas station that morning, only to have the caller hang up.

When authorities called the station back, they learned that two women tried stealing two cartons of Newport 100 cigarettes, police said.
According to police, the gas station clerk and owner wrestled the cigarettes away from the women, who then drove off in a red Ford sedan, heading north on W. Forest Home Ave.
