Green Bay Packers vs. Dallas Cowboys Game Preview
Will the Cowboys avenge last year's NFC playoff loss to the Packers, or will Green Bay have the upper hand in this early-season matchup?

The Green Bay Packers travel to Dallas this week to take on the Cowboys in a match-up of two of the NFC's more electrifying teams. The last time these two teams played, it was in the 2016 NFC Divisional-Round playoff game that saw the Packers escape with a 34-31 victory by way of a 51-yard field goal by kicker Mason Crosby. That Cowboys loss followed a renaissance of sorts for Dallas, as new running back Ezekiel Elliot and quarterback Dak Prescott led the team to a 13-3 record and a first-place finish in the NFC East division.
Will this be the revenge game that many in Dallas are calling for? Or will Green Bay push their record to 4-1, and continue to hold sway in the NFC North.

Things to watch in today's game:
1) Dallas cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott shredded the Green Bay defense for 282 yards in two games last year. What the Packers defense will do, given that starting nose tackle Mike Daniels is limited, should make for an interesting chess match.
2) Green Bay Packers starting running back Ty Montgomery is listed as doubtful for the game. If he does not play, it is up to a trio of unheralded players to pick up the slack. Rookies Jamal Williams, Aaron Jones and Devantae Mays may all get a chance to prove themselves today.
3) The Green Bay Packers offensive line has been decimated by injuries early in the season. Aaron Rodgers, quarterback for the Packers, has had to live without the services of his starting two tackles, and some significant line shuffling to pick up the slack. Those tackles, David Bakhtiari and Bryan Bulaga practiced this week, but only on a limited basis. Come game time, it will be interesting to see whether either are cleared to give it a go against a solid Dallas line.
4) A week after being carted off the field on a stretcher, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams has been cleared of the league-mandated concussion protocol and is expected to play Sunday. Watch this week to see whether the load falls on the remaining wide receiver corps, or whether Adams plays a key part.
