Greenfield Man Accused In Fatal West Allis Crash Pleads Not Guilty
A man accused of drinking before a June crash that took the life of a 4-year-old pleaded not guilty in Milwaukee County Court.

GREENFIELD, WI — A man accused of drinking before crashing into another car in June, killing a 4-year-old, pleaded not guilty in Milwaukee County Court, online records showed.
The 26-year-old, identified by police as Thomas McIntyre, is facing charges of first-degree reckless homicide, first-degree recklessly endangering safety and first-degree reckless injury in connection with the crash. On June 29 he was bound over for trial and a not guilty plea was entered for him, online records showed.
Police say McIntyre crashed his SUV into the back of another vehicle on June 15 in West Allis. A four-year-old on board the other car died after the crash, according to a criminal complaint.

While McIntyre told police he thought he was going "over 100," and that he had previously drank several shots, he also told police he did not want to hit another vehicle, according to a complaint.
If convicted of the homicide charge, McIntyre could face up to 60 years in prison.

The crash happened in the 2800 block of 108th Street. Police found a Buick Verano with damage on its rear and McIntyre's SUV with damage on its front, according to the complaint.
Police found the child in a car seat in the rear area of the car with trauma to its neck, the complaint said. The driver slipped in and out of consciousness as police arrived at the scene, according to the complaint.
