Greenfield School Board Talks Back To Class Next Steps

Elementary-aged students returning back to in-person school to January 11.

GREENFIELD, WI— In a vote Monday, the Greenfield School Board decided to bump elementary-aged students returning back to in-person school to January 11. Virtual learning will begin on January 4, 2021, following the holiday break.

The move passed unanimously.

Following a lengthy discussion, the board opted not to vote on the next steps for older students.

The secondary level cohort of students’ future isn’t as clear because the board wants to wait until after the break to make any moves. The Board will reconvene to discuss in-person instruction on January 11.

A large portion of the discussion focused on how to phase students back into the classroom and when to do so.
