Greenfield Students Begin Online Learning Monday

Monday the school district transitioned all four elementary schools to virtual learning.

GREENFIELD, WI—Monday all Greenfield students in elementary school began online learning.

"The current staffing realities impacts the district’s ability to properly supervise students and the safest path forward is to temporarily pause in-person instruction," the Superintendent,

Lisa Elliott, wrote in a letter to parents.

Online learning will remain in place until Monday, November 30. The school district reported they would continue to monitor the situation to determine if schools could reopen as planned.

"It is our hope that this is a temporary measure. I know this is disappointing news. However, the health, safety, and well-being of our school community remains our top priority," Elliott wrote.

The School District is also asking parents to report any coronavirus related symptoms during the online learning period.
