GREENFIELD, WI — A Greenfield High School student who police said was seriously injured when an SUV hit him and drove off in May has finally returned home from the hospital, his mom and coach announced.

The teen, identified in reports as Trevor Le Morrison, was struck near Edgerton and Loomis Road on May 21. Amid other injuries, Trevor had to be treated for two broken femurs and undergo surgery for internal organs after the crash, according to a criminal complaint against the man accused of driving the SUV.

In a fundraiser on GoFundMe, Trevor's mom Oanh Le and his high school soccer coach Peter Knebel announced the news that he was discharged from the hospital and home.

"Praise God. Man ole Man. I don’t even know where to start," Le wrote. "These past couple months has been absolutely been tough on both of us but We are Praising God and his healing hands. Trevor and I want to send our deepest appreciation to each and everyone of you for your continuous love and support. Thank you for the abundance of prayers that were sent through this journey we wouldn’t be where we are at right now if it wasn’t for our faith and prayers."

"This isn’t over Trevor still has a lot of therapy but he is one happy kid to be with home surrounding his family and friends," Le wrote.

Walter Garrett Grebe, 34, of Muskego, is accused of driving the car that hit Trevor, according to a criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee. He faces a charge of hit and run involving great bodily harm, online court records show. A not guilty plea was entered from the defense in June and Grebe was bound over for trial, but another plea hearing has been more recently scheduled for October, online records showed.

Trevor spent his most recent birthday in the hospital, but after his discharge from the hospital in time for his senior year, Trevor plans on continuing to be the captain of the Greenfield soccer team, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

Grebe had told police he was driving from a volleyball tournament in Oak Creek when he turned onto Loomis and crashed, the complaint said. He told police he drove off from the crash to leave the car at Potawatomi, and was later arrested, according to the criminal complaint.
