Greenfield Woman Shows Up to Court Impaired, Police Say
Sherry Pineda appeared in municipal court Wednesday after her arrest Jan. 10. She was arrested again, this time for drugged/impaired driving and possession of narcotics.
A 36-year-old Greenfield woman apparently chose to not go out of her way to impress the judge Wednesday night.
According to Greenfield police, 36-year-old Sherry L. Pineda, appeared in Greenfield Municipal Court on March 6, after being arrested for domestic violence – disorderly conduct, domestic violence – criminal damage, and resisting arrest following an incident with her ex-husband at the couple’s apartment Jan. 10.
When Pineda spoke with Judge Thomas Wilkoski and a Greenfield police court officer, her speech was slurred. She failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for drugged/impaired driving because she had driven herself to the Law Enforcement Center.

When officers searched Pineda, they found aluminum foil folds containing suspected crushed Oxycodone, a narcotic, and four prescription narcotic pills as well as a straw with white powder on it in her pockets, police said. She was ordered to appear at the District Attorney’s office to discuss potential possession of narcotics charges; as of Thursday morning, Pineda had not yet been charged.
Back in January, Pineda came to the Greenfield Police Department to report her husband had been physically confrontational with her, but witnesses told police it was Pineda who was the aggressor and that her ex-husband never touched her during the argument.
