How's Your Commute?

See how your community stacks up against others in The Business Journals' study of commutes in communities with populations over 10,000.

It's Monday morning. How's your drive to work looking?

The Business Journals On Numbers blog recently published a compilation of commuting data for 483 small- and medium-sized communities in the United States. Using raw data from the U.S. Census Bureau's 2009 American Community Survey, The Business Journals reported, the study awarded points for commuters who take less than 30 minutes to get from home to work and took away points for commuters above that threshold. In total, the On Numbers study ranked 483 cities.

The Business Journals article says low commute times are primarily due to two factors: a strong local job market and smooth traffic flow. Want to see how your community stacks up? Check out these links.
