It's Packers vs. Bears To Start The 2019 NFL Season

The NFL's oldest rivalry will kick off the league's 100th season. Here's when:

GREEN BAY, WI -- The NFL's oldest rivalry will kick off the league's 100th season.

That's right NFC North fans: the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears will take the field on Thursday night, Sep. 5 at Soldier Field for the first game of the 2019 NFL season.

The Sep. 5 game will be the 199th game between the Packers and the Bears, which the Packers lead 97-95-6.

The NFL full 2019 schedule will be announced in the coming weeks, but Green Bay's opponents have already been named:

  • Home Games: Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings.
  • Road Games: Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings.
