Man Arrested After High-Speed Chase In Greenfield
Police said the top speed of Negron's vehicle was 85 miles per hour and he fled police for 2.2 miles.

GREENFIELD, WI β A 45-year-old Milwaukee man has been charged after authorities say he fled police during a traffic stop in Greenfield.
Jorge A. Negron has been charged with fleeing an officer and second-degree recklessly endangering safety. If convicted, he faces up to a total of six-and-a-half years behind bars.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County, an officer on patrol on the night of Jan. 13 saw a vehicle driven by Negron speeding west on W. Layton Ave. The officer tried pulling him over on the 7100 block of W. Layton Ave.

Police said the officer got out of their squad car and walked up to Negron's vehicle, only to have him speed off during the course of the stop.
According to the criminal complaint, Negron raced west on W. Layton Ave., passing other cars as he swerved between lanes.

Police said they executed a PIT maneuver β a high-speed precision collision designed to disable a fleeing vehicle β at the intersection of W. Layton Ave. and S. 108th Street. Negron's vehicle swerved off the road and crashed.
