Mark Your Calendar: Greenfield's Festival Foods Opens July 16

New Greenfield and West Allis stores announce their opening dates, as the retailer increases its presence in the Milwaukee Metro area.

GREENFIELD, WI — Locals have known a new Festival Foods was on the way since the company purchased a vacant Target store in Greenfield a year ago. Now, that new store has an opening date.

On Thursday, the De Pere-based grocery store announced Festival Foods, located at 4777 S. 27th Street in Greenfield, would open on July 16. Another new location in West Allis, 11111 W. Greenfield Avenue, is set for a May 21 grand opening.

The locations will become the fifth and sixth Festival Foods locations in the Milwaukee Metro area, with stores also in Somers, Mount Pleasant and Hales Corners. The retailer, which began in Onalaska in 1990, now will have 35 locations in the state.

According to a release, the new stores each will employee about 250 associates. Both locations will have a Caribou Coffee, a fresh food line-up and seating area. Shoppers can expect Festival Foods' traditional favorites like: a bakery, extensive deli meat and seafood selections, a hot food bar, organic foods and a variety of take-home meals. The store will provide services like catering, online shopping and store pickup.

The new locations also will feature the latest energy-saving equipment and offer a brat stand for nonprofit fundraisers.
