Meet Firefighters At 'Community Hero Day' In Greenfield
The Greenfield Farmers Market is hosting a Community Hero Day where residents can meet with firefighters, learn about their trucks and more.
GREENFIELD, WI — A new event has been planned for an upcoming Greenfield Farmers Market. "Community Hero Day" where residents can meet with firefighters, check out their trucks, ride through a bicycle challenge course and more is planned for July 25 , the market said.
The program will bring family-friendly activities to the market. The safety oriented events will give kids an opportunity to learn more about safety and interact with firefighters and police, according to a Facebook post by the market.

The Greenfield Public Library will kick things off with its scheduled story time.
A meet and greet with firefighters will be held, the post said. Residents can chat with the department and take a peek inside the many safety vehicles that the department uses.

Bring your bike and helmet: The Greenfield Police Department will set up a bicycle course full of challenges and giveaways, the post said. The Greenfield Health Department will be there to ensure that everyone's bike helmet is properly fitted, the post continued.
Greenfield Farmers Market occurs each Sunday at Konkel Park. The market is open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 5151 West Layton Avenue.
