GREENFIELD, WI — A Milwaukee man faces multiple criminal charges after he led Greenfield police on a chase and then later threw urine on a police officer at a local hospital, police said.

Aramis Butler appeared in court on Tuesday, five days after Greenfield police were called to check on a woman at the Olive Garden restaurant on 76th Street. Police said that Butler left the parking lot in the woman’s car, which started a chase by police that lasted several blocks, prosecutors said on Tuesday.

Officers used a PIT maneuver to end the chase, which forced the car Butler was driving into a tree. Police use a PIT (precision mobilization technique) in pursuit situations, which forces a vehicle to turn sideways abruptly, which forces the driver of a vehicle to lose control or stop.
