Nestlé Toll House Cookie Recall In Wisconsin: Rubber Concerns

MILWAUKEE, WI — If you’re craving Nestlé Toll House cookies, check the codes on several refrigerated, ready-to-bake products before you pop them in the oven. The company has initiated a recall of several of its products in Wisconsin and nationwide because they may contain pieces of food-grade rubber.

Food-grade rubber is specifically certified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for use in packaging.

The affected products include ready-to-bake refrigerated Nestlé Toll House Cookie Dough bars, tubs and tube-shaped “chubs,” the company said in a news release.

No illnesses or injuries requiring medical treatment have been reported, Nestlé said.

The recall is for products with batch codes that begin with 9189 through batch codes that begin with 9295, including:

• Nestlé Toll House Fall’n Leaves Cookie Dough (16 ounce)

The company said its Nestlé Toll House Morsels, Nestlé Toll House Ice Cream Sandwiches, Nestlé Toll House Edible Cookie Dough and Nestlé Professional SKUs are not affected by the recall.
