New Restaurant Likely In The Works At Old Chancery

GREENFIELD, WI—Renovation is underway at the old Chancery on 27th Street.

"What I know so far is the owners have only obtained permits for building work/improvements," Tara Cavazos, Executive Director for South 27th Street Business District Association, told Patch.

There are no licenses applied for at this point, but Alderman Scott Spiker, of the City of Milwaukee, told Patch it was likely a restaurant.

City leaders say they are waiting to see if it will be leased or owner-occupied.
