One Dead In Electrocution Incident At Penny Mustard: Report

Authorities said two people were injured; the second one could not be accessed by rescuers until WE Energies shut off the power.

GREENFIELD, WI — One person has been confirmed dead and a second seriously injured following an electrocution incident on Tuesday.

According to the Greenfield Police Department, officers and rescue personnel responded to the back of the Penny Mustard building, 8380 W. Layton Ave. at just before 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22 on a report of an electrocution.

Police said two victims were located in the back of the building. The first person was transported to Froedtert Hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities said the second person could not be accessed by emergency personnel until the power was shut off by WE Energies. Once the power was shut off, rescue workers determined that the second person was dead.

Police in Greenfield say the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office and OSHA are currently at the Penny Mustard building investigating the incident.
