Greenfield To Host Crusin' Santa Claus

Families are encouraged to peek through the window or step outside to wave to Santa Claus, while keeping socially distant from others.

GREENFIELD, WI— In an effort to keep the Christmas spirit thriving amid the pandemic, the City of Greenfield announced a program to have Santa and Mrs. Claus cruise through the city in the week before Christmas. The couple will be on a lit float that will be pulled by the City's Park and Recreation staff.

Families are encouraged to peek through the window or step outside to wave to Santa Claus, while keeping socially distant from others. Santa will be making the rounds between December 14 and 17 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

The full schedule is below, but the City's Parks and Recreation Director Scott Jaquish told Patch the plan could change depending on weather.

Jaquish credited the Greenfield Parks and Recreation Department, Greenfield Police Department, and Greenfield Fire Department for their joint effort in pulling off the inaugural Cruisin' Santa plans.
