Sauce & Toss Wings Plans To Replace O Yeah Chicken And More

Owner Faisal Farooqi said the wing restaurant has plans to expand further in Wisconsin after he plans on opening one in Greenfield.

GREENFIELD, WI — A new wing place called Sauce & Toss is proposing to take over the former location of O Yeah Chicken and More at 3322 West Loomis Road in Greenfield.

Sauce & Toss Owner Faisal Farooqi told Patch the spot plans to be similar to a sports bar menu with offerings including wings, 12 house-engineered sauces and burgers. The first location of its kind was opened in Zion, Illinois.

The spot's sauces include Garlic Parmesan, Lemon Pepper, Teriyaki Madness, Moonshine BBQ, Mango Strike, Cajun, Dragon's Breath and more. Farooqi said he and a business partner created the sauces. They then had a consultant help round out each of their sauces' "signature flavor."

The Greenfield Plan Commission is slated to review a site plan and special use application for the business on Tuesday. The proposal has not applied to serve alcohol, according to plan commission documents. The proposal could make it to the Greenfield Common Council as soon as mid-march.

Farooqi said his brother-in-law, Adnan Bin Mahfouz was the owner of O Yeah Chicken And More, a spot that was known for its combination of cuisines. Pending all the approvals from the city, Sauce & Toss could be open in the former location of O Yea Chicken And More as soon as May, Farooqi said.

Everything at the new Sauce & Toss location would be made fresh, including the fries, and products are never frozen, according to Farooqi.

Farooqi said after he opens his first Wisconsin Sauce & Toss in Greenfield, he's eyeing several other locations for more, such as a spot on Brady Street in Milwaukee. He added plans are in the works for potential franchise options down the road.

He said once his first Wisconsin location opens with a ribbon-cutting, he plans on inviting local law enforcement and firefighters to try the spot out on the house.
