Sendik's Kid Fest Highlights Big Family Weekend in Greenfield
Looking for a few ideas for things to do this weekend in the Greenfield area? Patch has a few suggestions.

Looking for a few things to keep you entertained this weekend? Here are some suggestions from Patch about some cool things happening in and around Greenfield.
Kidsfest at Sendik's: A grocery store may be the last place you would expect to keep a kid entertained on a Saturday, but it turns out that there's plenty happening at the Sendik's Food Store at 7901 W. Layton Ave. The Greenfield Sendik's is hosting a Kids Fest, which is a daylong cornucopia of activities. Among the events planned for Saturday are: flower pressing from 10 a.m to 1 p.m., face-painting from 10 to 11 a.m., a magic show from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and an appearance by the Milwaukee Wave from 3 to 4 p.m. Check out the Sendik's website for all the details.
Cruisin' for a Cause: Help out some kids who could really use it by taking part in the ATI Foundation's third annual Cruisin-4-Kids Motorcycle Ride and Celebration. The event includes a poker run with cash prizes, and will start and finish at House of Harley-Davidson on 62nd Street and Layton Avenue. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. followed by the first bike out at 9:30 a.m. and the last bike in at 4 p.m. Proceeds go to the ATI Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping children with physical impairments in need of medical and financial resources. Did someone say free chocolate? Did you know that Sunday was National Milk Chocolate Day: Neither did we, until we heard from our friends at Fannie May who told us they're going to be celebrating by giving away a free piece of chocolate at the Greenfield store as 7925 W. Layton Ave. For details, visit www.fanniemay.com.
Volleyball Tourney: Fans of volleyball may want to check out the Erin Calteux Volleyball Tournament, which gets under way at 9 a.m. Saturday at Alcott Park, on 97th Street between Howard and Morgan avenues. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the ladies volleyball program at Carthage College and help support the college and volleyball program that Erin loved so much, organizers say.
