Wisconsin To See Heavy Rain From Tropical Storm Alberto

Wisconsin will see heavy rainfall from the remnants of subtropical storm Alberto today. Be prepared!

WISCONSIN — Subropical Storm Alberto made landfall Monday afternoon in Florida, subjecting the Florida Panhandle with heavy rain and killing at least two people.

Stretches of heavy rain from Alberto are tracking north - all the way to Wisconsin - which will see Alberto's effects throughout the day on Wednesday, according to weather officials.

According to the National Weather Service, scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop later this
morning and linger into this evening.

According to the NWS, between one to two inches of rain is expected, but there is also the potential for two or more inches of rain the further toward the Illinois border you go.

Brief heavy rainfall is possible with storms that move over the same area. There is also a chance of thunderstorms Thursday into Thursday evening.
