MILWAUKEE, WI -- It's the kind of news that no sun-loving, fair weather fan wants to hear: it's mid-April, and there's snow in the forecast.

If you live in Southeastern Wisconsin, you might see a little snow. Odds are, however, you'll see some slushy, sleety precipitation with a steady stream of cloud cover and rain.

"Confidence continues to increase that a significant winter storm will impact much of the central Plains to Upper Midwest later this week," says the National Weather Service. "The best chance for heavy snow accumulations will be across South Dakota, southern half of Minnesota, and central and northern Wisconsin."
