WISN: Grandfather Talks About Brittany Barnstable's Life, Death
Mel Mickey, the grandfather of the Whitnall High School student killed while riding her bike in New Berlin, talks about Brittany Barnstable's life - and the family's decision to donate all of her organs.
Mel Mickey, who lost his daughter in a car accident 19 years ago, talks to WISN 12 News about how the family is coping with a similar tragedy - the death of his granddaughter Brittany Barnstable, who killed when he bike was struck by an SUV in New Berlin.
Mickey also shares some insight on the family's decision donate all of Brittany's organs — the same decision he and his wife made nearly two decades ago when their daughter was killed.
