Woman Identified In Greenfield Homicide Investigation, Man In Custody
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed the identity of the woman Greenfield police found dead Wednesday.

GREENFIELD, WI — Authorities have confirmed the identity of the 50-year-old woman who was found dead on Wednesday at a home in Greenfield.
Police found Jamie Le Ward dead in the 4700 block of Maple Leaf Circle, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed. Police called the death a domestic incident, and are investigating it as a homicide, according to a news release from the Greenfield Police Department.
Greenfield police took the woman's husband, a 48-year-old man, into custody on Wednesday after a brief standoff in Franklin, police said in the news release.

A relative had called authorities that day asking for a welfare check at the woman's address, telling police they had information she may be dead, according to the police news release.
Police said Wednesday more information will not be available until the case is reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
