DeForest Super Bowl Event A Doggone Good Time

Green Acres Pet Resort in DeForest held its first Super Puppy Bowl event on Friday, February 10, featuring over 30 dogs enrolled in the daycare program. Canine resort lodging guests over Super Bowl weekend also participated in the special activities. The canine athletes exhibited true skill and sportsmanship during the ball games. The frozen stadium conditions only added excitement to the fast and furry-ous action on the field.

Four teams—K9 Treats, Green Acres b’Eagles, DeForest Barkers, and the Furry Niners—celebrated their accomplishments and dedication to having a good time with a TAILgate party. The dogs received a football-decorated canine cookie while pet parents enjoyed decadent cupcakes from Gigi's Cupcakes and gourmet popcorn from Clary's.

“The dogs know when something special is happening and they respond with pure excitement. The daycare programs focus on socialization, exercise, and mental stimulation. Our daily activities and special events are designed to give each dog personal attention and the enrichment they need. The pet parents trust the care of their fur baby to our staff and we take that responsibility to heart,” said Coach Lauren.

After a well-deserved period of recovery and ear scratches, training for Super Puppy Bowl 2024 will begin!
