I-94 Lanes Starting To Clear, Tanker Truck Went Over Median Wall
Authorities in Racine County have posted official detour routes as emergency workers tend to the multi-vehicle crash.

RACINE COUNTY, WI — All lanes of I-94 were closed early Wednesday morning after a major traffic accident was reported in Racine County.
Authorities say two lanes of northbound I-94 are now open. All I-94 southbound will remain closed for cleanup with an estimated opening at 12 p.m., Racine County Sheriff officials said today.
According to the Racine County Sheriff's office, at just after 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, authorities reported that two semi trucks and a pickup truck became involved in an accident at the I-94 intersection with Highway 20.

Authorities said the accident resulted in a semi tanker tipping onto its side and careening over the median wall. As a result, all interstate lanes were closed.
Only minor injuries have been reported due to the accident.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is advising all travelers to refrain from taking the interstate
at this time and to please find alternate routes.
The official detour route is as follows:
Southbound
I-94 closed at Hwy 20
Hwy 20 West to Hwy 75
Hwy 75 South to Hwy 50
Hwy 50 East to I-94
Northbound
I-94 closed at Hwy 11
Hwy 11 East to Hwy 31
Hwy 31 North to Hwy 20
Hwy 20 to West to I-94
