Sturtevant residents planning a vacation can request an officer check on their homes while they're out of town.
Officers will need the following information in order to fulfill the request:
- Dates and Times you will be gone, including the expected day and time of return.
- Note whether or not any vehicles will be in the driveway and brief descriptions of those vehicles.
- Be sure to let officers know if lights will be on, off or on a timer and the hour the timer is set to go off each day.
- Note if anyone is staying at your home during your absence, including the dates expected.
- Be sure to include a phone number where you can be reached in case officers need to contact you.
