Homeowner Kills Intruder: Kenosha Police

It could be weeks until the public finds out if the killing was justified, attorney Jonathan LaVoy told WTMJ.

KENOSHA, WI — A Kenosha homeowner killed an intruder after the person forced his way into the house and attacked the resident, according to police.

The incident occurred around 7:20 p.m. Friday in the 6900 block of 64th Avenue, police said. A person had been damaging vehicles at random and trying to access several homes, according to police, when he forcibly entered a house and attacked the owner, resulting in the fatal struggle.

It could be weeks until the public finds out if the killing was justified, attorney Jonathan LaVoy told WTMJ, noting people can use deadly force if they reasonably believe their life or the life of a loved one is at risk.
