Man Charged With Battery After Woman's Arm Broken At Pritchard Park
A Racine man is accused of pushing a woman down during a bridal shower in May, causing her wrist to break, a criminal complaint said.
RACINE, WI — A Racine man is facing charges of felony battery and disorderly conduct after sheriff's deputies said he pushed a woman down at Pritchard Park in May, leaving the woman with a broken wrist.
If convicted, Paul J. Burdick could face just over 3½ years in prison and fines totaling $11,000.
Sheriff's deputies were called out to the park in the 2800 block of Ohio Street on May 28 just before 1 p.m. A relative of the woman who was hurt told deputies a man had pushed her down and that she had possibly broken her wrist, a criminal complaint said.

The man told authorities he and his family had rented a pavilion at Pritchard Park for a bridal shower, and that as they were setting up, the man, later identified as Burdick, was sitting at one of the pavilion's tables, the complaint said.
When the woman asked Burdick to move because the pavilion was rented, he stood up, jumped over the table, and pushed her to the ground, the complaint said. Burdick then left, according to the complaint.

The woman told authorities she believed her wrist was hurt after the incident, and a hospital confirmed her wrist was broken, the complaint said.
Police tracked Burdick down through photos taken of him and his vehicle immediately following the incident, according to the complaint.
