Man Dead After Truck Crashes Into Pole In Somers: Kenosha Sheriff
Authorities believe the 71-year-old man died because of a medical emergency and not in the crash on Thursday.
SOMERS, WI — A Kenosha man is dead after his pickup truck crashed into a utility pole on County Highway A in Somers Thursday afternoon, but authorities believe the man's death was from a medical emergency and not the crash, according to a news release from the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department.
Initial reports said a Ford F-150 traveling east crossed the centerline and crashed into a pole in the north ditch line in the 9200 block of County Highway A around 1:35 p.m., the news release said. The 71-year-old driver, the only person in the truck, was brought to a hospital and later died, according to the sheriff's department.
The truck was extensively damaged and towed from the crash site.
