Man Wanted After Enticing 6-Year-Old To Get In Car: Sheriff

Racine County Sheriff's officials are asking for the public's help to track down a man accused of trying to get a 6-year-old into his car.

RACINE COUNTY, WI — Authorities in Racine County are searching for a man accused of trying to entice a 6-year-old boy into his car over the weekend.

According to the Racine County Sheriff's office, deputies were sent to the area of Park St. and S. Lakeshore Drive in the Town of Burlington just after 2 p.m. Sunday on a report of a suspicious person.

A caller reported that a vehicle stopped in front of his house and called for his 6-year-old son to come and approach the vehicle. According to Sheriff's officials, the man told the child to “come here” twice before the child ran back into his yard and the vehicle drove away. Other family members were outside in the area but did not see it happen, officials said.

Sheriff's officials describe the suspect as a white man with white hair, and a white mustache. Authorities say he was riding in a black car and likely was traveling with an older woman with white hair.
