Mark Janiuk Selected as Caledonia Village Administrator

The Sturtevant Village Administrator has been chosen to take on that job in Caledonia. Janiuk was selected from among 28 candidates.

Sturtevant Village Administrator Mark Janiuk will be heading to Caledonia, to fill the same position there. 

The Journal Times reported the selection on Friday, based on confirmation from Caledonia Village President Ron Coutts. The village received 28 applications for the position, and Janiuk was selected from the field of five finalists.

Knowing Janiuk was a finalist for the position, , with Village Clerk Mary Cole prepared to act as village administrator if the board gives her the approval to do so.

The search began after current  Lebak said he would stay through part of the summer, to give the village time to select a replacement. 

The contract with the new administrator is on the agenda for the Caledonia Village Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 19.
