Missing Endangered Veteran May Be Biking Through Wisconsin

CHICAGO, IL β€” Authorities in Illinois say a missing military veteran who went missing from the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago may be bicycling his way into Wisconsin. He's considered at-risk, and police issued an emergency alert related to his disappearance.

Authorities say Patrick Byron McCann, 46, was last seen at 7:45 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 21. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt and gray sweatpants. He was described as 6 feet tall and about 240 pounds with balding short blond hair, according to the alert.

Authorities believe McCann he may be riding a black motorized bicycle and be in the area of either Kenosha or Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

Police asked anyone who thinks they have spotted McCann not to approach or contact him. Instead, call 911 or local police. Those who may have information useful with investigators can contact federal health care center police at 224-610-3703.
