RACINE, WI — Racine police have taken a suspect into custody after a pregnant woman was shoved to the ground in April in the street.

The man pushed the woman's back and she cut her head when she fell, according to a Racine Police Department Facebook post from Thursday. The woman was 26 weeks pregnant at the time, police said.

It happened in April, and the woman did not know the suspect, but she and the baby are doing well now, Racine Police Sgt. Kristi Wilcox told Patch in an email Friday.
