Since the beginning of the global pandemic, Racine Art Museum (RAM) has been creating opportunities for would-be museum visitors and faraway supporters to engage virtually with art from the comfort of their home. In continuation of this effort, RAM is pleased to announce a live virtual tour of the current exhibition, Watercolor Wisconsin 2021, the fifty-fifth in an annual juried exhibition series at RAM's Wustum Museum of Fine Artsβ€”the second campus of the Racine Art Museum. The popular show honors the depth and breadth of watercolor in the state of Wisconsin.

This virtual visit of the museum galleries with RAM Curatorial Assistant Kendra Voelz will explore 110 diverse works on paper by 97 Wisconsin artists. In contrast to RAM's recent virtual exhibition tour of Collection Focus: Mara Superiorβ€”which was professionally filmed and edited prior to the video's premiereβ€”the walkthrough of Watercolor Wisconsin 2021 will be presented in real-time via Facebook Live.

The virtual tour at RAM's Wustum Museum will broadcast at 2:00 pm CST on Tuesday, February 15. A Facebook account is not required to watch the video, but viewers with an account will be able to ask questions during the tour and receive real-time responses from museum staff. The tour will be available to watch on demand after the live broadcast has concluded.

Together, the two campuses of the Racine Art Museum, RAM in downtown Racine at 441 Main Street and the Charles A. Wustum Museum of Fine Arts at 2519 Northwestern Avenue, seek to elevate the stature of contemporary crafts to that of fine art by exhibiting significant works in craft media with painting, sculpture, and photography, while providing outstanding educational art programming.

Both campuses of the Racine Art Museum are currently operating with limited hours, open Wednesday through Saturday from Noon to 4:00 pm. To comply with the City of Racine mandate, masks covering both nose and mouth are required to enter RAM and RAM's Wustum Museum at all times.
