Racine Unified School District: A Holly Jolly Donation - Mitchell Music Teacher Receives $1,300 Gift

The season of giving has arrived at Mitchell K-8! An elementary music teacher there just received a $1300 gift that he plans to put towards the music programming at the school. 

“I plan on updating the classroom environment with new visual aids as well as classroom instruments that all students will be able to utilize,” said Nathan Ortiz.

Ortiz, a graduate of St. Norbert College, was selected by the National Association of Music Education to receive the donation. The money was raised during a fundraising event at the college.
