RUSD Gets $20K Grant From Credit Union For Reading Materials

A former RUSD 4K teacher and early education coordinator continues to have a positive impact on students' lives even after her passing.

Jan Clum worked for the District for more than 40 years before her passing in January 2022. She had a passion for children and reading, which is why she applied for a grant from Educators Credit Union in 2021 to purchase reading materials.

Thanks to her application and dedication, on March 22, Educators Credit Union presented a $20,000 check to Racine Unified to purchase picture books with diverse characters, settings and stories for the District's youngest readers.

This gift will surely help Jan's love of reading live on in RUSD.
