2 Skydivers Crash, Hospitalized In Yorkville
Two skydivers jumped in tandem in Racine on Sunday when they lost control about 30 feet off the ground and crashed, authorities said.

YORKVILLE, WI — Two skydivers who were tandem jumping in Racine were injured Sunday after they lost control about 20 to 30 feet off the ground, the Racine County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
A 28-year-old Racine woman and a 49-year-old Chicago woman both suffered life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff's office. Flight for Life took both patients to local trauma centers, the sheriff's office said. They women were not identified, and neither their specific injuries nor their condition was disclosed.
Authorities were called out around 1:43 p.m. to Skydive Midwest Skydiving Center in Yorkville. The skydivers' parachute was deployed, but they lost control and crashed, the sheriff's office said.

Skydive Midwest Skydiving Center is located at 13851 56th Road.
The co-owner of Skydive Midwest, Megan George, told The Journal Times on Monday that one of the women who was hurt was an instructor and that a cause of the crash was not yet determined.
