We asked readers in Mount Pleasant and Sturtevant "If you could bring back one local business that closed in town, which would it be?"
RACINE COUNTY, WI — Mount Pleasant and Sturtevant have seen a lot of businesses come and go. Depending on how long you may have lived in the area, some may live on in memory, others may be dearly missed.
We recently asked Mount Pleasant and Sturtevant Patch readers on Facebook "If you could bring back one local business that closed in town (it doesn't matter how long ago), which would it be?"

"Shopko and Dress Barn and oh too many to list. Boston Store, JC Penney, the entire mall, Nelson's dime store, etc. Remember once upon a time we could actually go to stores in town," Linda S. J. wrote.
"Kmart - their clothes fit me better than anywhere else. Also Ponderosa, I loved their buffet," Cheryl G. wrote.

"Ice Cream & Things," and "The Closet," Lynne G. C. wrote.
"Wow - that takes me back to high school days! Loved shopping at Ice Cream & Things!" Paulette B. wrote in response to Lynne.
"Dino's the one that used to be on 16th street. I loved getting duck from them," Chris H. wrote.
"The Derangos on High street, the new Chubbies is horrible. Or Hamzies on Douglas Ave," Steve J. wrote.
