WISN: Friends Remember Racine Pilot Killed in Crash
The pilot of a plane that crash into Lake Michigan, killing both people aboard, is remembered as someone who had plenty of experience at the controls.

The pilot of a single-engine plane that crashed in Lake Michigan Saturday after taking off from Racine was remembered Sunday as someone with a wealth of flying experience.
William Gensler of Racine was one of two people aboard the 1975 Piper Cherokee, which was headed to Oshkosh when it plunged into Lake Michigan. Both were killed.
Friends of Gensler, 75, told Patch's media partners at WISN 12 News that he had plenty of experience at the controls.

“I don’t believe he did anything wrong,” said David Mann, the general manager of the Batten International Airport in Racine. “He was a very good, good stick man. He knew how to fly the airplane."
