2 Administrators Added to Muskego-Norway District

One of the new administrators has been an assistant principal at the high school.

Two new administrators will join the Muskego-Norway School District office next year, though one is a familiar face.

Michelle Schwab was hired as the assistant superintendent for teaching and learning.

“She has worked at the state and local levels in the areas of educator effectiveness and teacher compensation,” said Dennis Bussen, assistant superintendent. “We are excited that Michelle will be working with Muskego-Norway Schools on our continuous improvement efforts.”

Schwab was the director of educator effectiveness for the past two years in New Berlin. Previously, she worked for the Minnesota Department of Education as a school improvement specialist and a director of professional development. Her salary will be $123,500.

Also, Lisa Safago will be the director of secondary student learning. She has been an assistant principal at Muskego High School for seven years and also taught chemistry and physical science.

“By serving the district in this new role I look forward to implementing, sustaining and developing initiatives and programs that will continue our district’s tradition of educational excellence,” she said. “It is truly a privilege to serve the school district in this new role.”

Safago's salary will be $105,600.
