A Case of 'Senioritis' Has Police Warning Students to Think Twice
Senior pranks may be a part of the final days of high school, but Muskego police are warning that some, like a recent graffiti incident at Muskego High School, cross a line

While Muskego Police Lt. Dave Constantineau is sympathetic to how seniors feel as their final days of high school are now upon them, he noted "many of our graduating young people this year have decided to mark the occasion with acts ranging from creative mischief to outright criminal damage to school property."
"While a certain amount of good, clean, harmless fun is something we can all relate to and understand, we must draw the line at those activities that disrupt other students’ ability to learn or that damage the school," Constantineau said. "Last (Thursday) night the high school had graffiti spray painted on it, and by the content, it was obvious that the person(s) who did it was an MHS senior."
In addition, Patch received a tip that something may have been occurring at the high school on Friday, as there was an increased presence of squads. Capt. John La Tour confirmed their presence was to meant to discourage any further disturbances rumored to happen at the lunch hour. From all reports, that mission was accomplished.

Constantineau encouraged all graduating seniors and their parents to "stop, think and discuss what they may have planned. Right now it may seem like fun, but as these seniors enter the real 'working world,' they should ask themselves if this momentary fun is going to be worth a lifetime of explaining the circumstances of a criminal damage to property arrest and conviction to every potential employer you may have. Parents, your seniors have the rest of their lives ahead of them. Help them see that now is the time to start behaving like the adult they want to be treated as."
He said the police department will be stepping up patrols at all of the schools, and anyone caught causing damage will be arrested.
