Over the past 14 years that I've been a journalist undoubtedly I end up writing about a backyard fireworks show that went horribly wrong, so I thought I would ask the Tess Corners Fire Department about what people need to know. Also, just a reminder, if you plan on lighting off fireworks on July 4, you'll need a permit from the city and the last day to purchase them will be on June 30.
