Adding Color to Home Gaining Popularity, Local Paint Store Says
Sherwin-Williams offers a number of tips to making sure your painting and redecorating adventure goes smoothly.

"Color is becoming more and more popular," Sherwin-Williams Store Manager Ryan Hawk said of recent trends in the world of paint.
That's why Hawk recommends customers come in and try out the store's "color to go" samples — a small quart that allows a resident to try the paint in their environment, for free.
"You get an opportunity to test in your light," he said.

Hawk also provied a few other tips when considering painting your home:
- "Use the right product for the right project." Sherwin-Williams sells at least five different types of paints to fit different surfaces — such as a kid's room versus a living room or kitchen — among other various needs, Hawk said.
- "The right tools make the project go better." For example, soft brissles on a paint brush are good for fine finishes and trim work, whereas a hard bissle is better for surface work.
- In-home consultants make decisions easier: Customers who purchase a $75 gift card for later use toward their projects earn a visit with the store's color consultant — who is a certified interior designer. "She'll come to the home," he said, and help with matching colors and fabrics, for example.
