2nd Annual Dollar$ for Diabete$ Student Activity Night

The Lake Denoon Middle School gymnasium will be transformed again into an inflatable arena for the 2nd Annual Dollar$ for Diabete$ Student Activity Night on Friday, June 1st.  With the help of the student council and over 30 staff members volunteering to help with this event, 100% of proceeds will be donated to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation – www.jdrf.org).

The event is open to students in grades 5-8 at LDMS. Students will be able to choose from inflatables from Muskego’s own KC Inflatables.  Bouncy houses, 40 foot slide, Gladiator Jousting, Bungee Run, an Obstacle Course, and a Velcro Wall are some of the choices!  Students will also be able to play carnival games, watch a movie, listen to music, and eat concession item foods.  IF that isn’t enough – 4 teachers have volunteered to be in a dunk tank for the event!  For a small additional fee, students can buy a raffle ticket to throw a pie at LDMS Spanish teacher Jack Jenke.

“There is a growing population of children, teens and adults, being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, including staff and students at Lake Denoon.  We want to bring awareness to this relentless disease along with hope that we are helping to find a cure,” Amy Veit, coordinator of the event said.  Veit also commented that last year’s event raised almost $3,000.  She’s hoping to write an even larger check to JDRF this year!
