The combined gymnastics team of Muskego, Franklin Oak Creek and Whitnall girls took the state championship after competition on March 2nd and 3rd. "This was the best performance by the team all season. We combined great effort from each individual to have a perfect team meet," said coach Katie Moore. "Each girl hit her events and we hit 20 out of 20 routines. The effort was good enough to beat undefeated Burlington combined, the state's top ranked team all year.Â
The team score of 147.648 was good for second in the all-time state score record books. The record is held by Racine combined 148.833. Â
Sammie Olson also won the individual title on the balance beam with a score of 9.333.
