Muskego Youth Will Present Beauty and the Beast Jr

(Thanks to Heidi Lindhorst for passing this announcement along. Muskego enjoys a robust arts program, and this is one of the facets of it.)

Over 100 Bay Lane students are creating the magic of live theater with this year’s production of Beauty and the Beast Jr., directed by Mrs. Sarah Milton and Mrs. Heidi Lindhorst.  Performances are at 's Performing Arts Center on Saturday, March 31 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 1, 2012, at 2:00 p.m.

Eighth graders Sara Duranso (Beauty) and Joe Zello (Beast) play the lead roles in this tale of an enchanted castle ruled by an angry and tormented Beast.  Belle, a young girl who has big dreams and loves to read, lives in a small village where people judge her unfairly and think she’s odd.  Her obnoxious suitor is the muscular but clueless bully, Gaston (Zach Robinson).

As the daughter of inventor Maurice (Zach Pilleggi), Belle trades her freedom for that of her father’s, only to end up imprisoned by the Beast. The story unfolds to reveal loveable, entertaining characters that include a smooth talking candlestick (Samantha Gibson), a babbling clock (Brianna O’Leske), a cheery teapot (Sami Kumm), and dozens of actors, actresses, dancers, set designers (under the artistic direction Mrs. Elaine Cannistra), and stage crew members.

Excellent production values and musical talent will surprise and entertain you and your guests at the MHS Performing Arts Center Theater, located at W183 S8750 Racine Avenue in Muskego, Wisconsin.
