Burglars in Muskego Caught - Are You Missing Anything?

Neighborhood robberies net items believed stolen and residents are asked to inventory their property to see if what Police have might be theirs

Arrests made in two different cases involving neighborhood burglaries have resulted in Police obtaining items that they believe are stolen, and they are asking residents to come forward if they feel they might be missing something.

On Wednesday, Dec. 28 several unlocked vehicles in the area of Brennan Dr. had items stolen from them.  Two Racine men, ages 20 and 21 were arrested and charged with theft and trespassing.  Police recovered several items from the suspects that they believe were stolen, but have not been reported as such.

Then on Thursday, Jan. 5, two Milwaukee men, ages 20 and 21, were arrested for burglary, and two 19 year old Franklin men were arrested for theft after a resident in the W18500 block of Denice Ct. found the subjects attempting to burglarize his garage.

While police do not recommend taking matters into your own hands, they credited the resident for safely following the suspects at a distance and calling police.  The suspect vehicle was stopped and they were taken into custody.  Additional property was recovered that suggested they were responsible for other thefts.  In addition, the suspects did confess to thefts throughout the Milwaukee metro area.

In either case, police are encouraging residents in those neighborhoods to contact them at 262-679-4130 if you feel you are missing anything from your vehicles or garages.
